Tibetan Tingshas (Large): Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddism Design

The Tibetan Tingsha (or hanging cymbal) are traditionally used by Tibetan Monks for healing and meditation and have a lovely sound when played and are held with a leather cord.

The design around the tingshas is of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism which are:

• A Conch Shell symbolising the thoughts of the Buddha
• A Lotus symbolising purity and enlightenment
• A Wheel of Dharma symbolising knowledge
• A Parasol (Umbrella) symbolising the crown, and protection from the elements
• An Endless Knot symbolising harmony and unity
• A Pair of Golden Fishes symbolising conjugal happiness and freedom
• A Banner Proclaiming Victory symbolising a victorious battle
• A Treasure Vase symbolising inexhaustible treasure and wealth
